BYRON — When you’re a kid, there’s nothing you look forward to more than getting out of school for the summer, especially when you know there’s a carnival in town.

This weekend, take the family out for funnel cakes and rides with the Byron Firefighter’s Association’s Kick Off to Summer Carnival, running Friday through Sunday.

Mike Traum, who is a member of the association, said on B103’s Morning Routine that the association has donated a majority of its funds to the community. The money raised supports projects, organizations and families in need in Byron.
