ROCKFORD — The grounds outside Nicholas Conservatory & Gardens will sparkle with roughly 300,000 lights for the annual All Aglow outdoor spectacle.

The annual lights display begins Saturday at dusk outside the conservatory, 1354 N. Second St., and it runs through Jan. 6. The display is lit from dusk to dawn daily. No tickets or reservations are required.

The half-mile outdoor walk features light-wrapped trees and shrubs, lighted archways and other decor such as 50 jumbo candy canes. All decorations are hand-made by the conservatory staff.

The route is setup as a one-way traffic loop with directional arrows posted throughout the grounds.

The display is put on for free, but you can donate to the Rockford Park District Foundation if you want to show your appreciation. Donate online HERE
