If you live in the Beloit area, keep an eye out for a local cougar. There was a big cat spotted in a local park, according to city officials. On Saturday, August 15th, Beloit’s Park and Recreation Department posted on Facebook that an employee spotted a cougar at Big Hill Park and the department has reported this to DNR.

Two park employees also say they spotted a big cat at the same park back in 2015 and last June, Beloit Police say they took a report from someone who said they saw a cougar near the footbridge by Portland Avenue.

If you spot a cougar or another wild animal, the department posted information from DNR on what to do.
