Crusader Community Health has announced patients can now access primary healthcare services through CRUSADER teleHEALTH appointments. Appointments are available currently to established Crusader patients.

Making a CRUSADER teleHEALTH appointment is easy and simple. Patients are asked to call Crusader’s at (815) 490.1600 to schedule an appointment as they normally would.

Appointments using CRUSADER teleHEALTH services are perfect for non-emergency visits, follow-up visits, medicine checks and patients with chronic needs such as diabetes and hypertension.

For the safety of both patient and healthcare provider, most appointments can be teleHEALTH visits. These might be telephone visits or visits using a variety of video tools such as smartphones, tablets or computers. Together, the patient and medical provider team will decide what technology works best. They may also decide an in-person visit is needed.

If a patient needs to be seen in person, Crusader medical providers will make arrangements and keep patient safety and well-being top priorities.

“Many patients might find themselves, or a loved one, needing a healthcare professional for non-emergency needs.” stated Sam Miller, Crusader President and CEO. “Healthcare is an essential service and Crusader healthcare providers are here to help.”

Appointments can be made Monday through Friday, between 8:30 am and 5:00 pm.  Until the COVID-19 outbreak is resolved, Crusader has temporarily discontinued evening and Saturday appointments.
