Rockford Public Library invites you to this book discussion, in observance of the Women’s Suffrage Centennial and Black History Month, with the discussion led by Zoe Norwood of RPL and Prof. Paulette Gilbert of RVC.
This novel by Sue Monk Kidd – inspired by historical figures and original creations – presents two struggles for freedom: abolitionism and women’s rights. The book is voiced by two powerful narrators who shape each other’s destinies.
The discussion will be in the Rehearsal Room on 2nd floor, and no registration is needed.
