World War II Days

Visitors to World War II Days engage in elaborate 1940s displays in historical buildings on the museum’s 148-acre campus, which becomes the back drop of a European village during World War II. This military re-enactment is known to be the largest in the Midwest and draws thousands of visitors yearly to the Rockford region and the museum grounds.

Visitors do not need to purchase tickets in advance. You may purchase your admission(s) upon arrival to the museum’s special event gates. Parking is free for visitors to World War II Days. Members should bring their membership card to the event to show upon arrival for entry/admission.

The museum is required to follow all State of Illinois mandates regarding COVID-19. All staff and guests attending are required to abide by the state guidelines in place at the time of the event.

Field Battles: Saturday 10:30 a.m, 2 p.m., Sunday 2:30 p.m.
Woods Battles: Saturday 10 a.m., 12 p.m., 3 p.m., 4 p.m.; Sunday 10 a.m., 12 p.m., 2 p.m. (no additional fee to see the Woods Battle)
