By now, your home is probably decked out and looking great. The Illinois Fire Marshal wants to make sure we are doing it safely. According to the Fire Marshal, most holiday fires can be avoided by following a few simple safety rules. The biggest is being safe with candles. Sure they look great, especially around the holidays, but you want to make sure you have enough space between your candles and any other decorations. At least 12 inches.
