Jon Bon Jovi Helps Talk Civilian off Ledge of Bridge in Downtown Nashville
Jon Bon Jovi has worn plenty of hats in his legendary music career, but on Tuesday he wore a brand new one.
Hero.Â
The front-man was shooting a video for his new song, “The People’s House”, on the pedestrian bridge in Downtown Nashville; which they left open to the public.
During their filming, a production assistant and Bon Jovi noticed a woman had climbed over the railing of the bridge and was aiming to take her own life. As the two approached, they were able to coax her back over the ledge with Bon Jovi as a helping hand.
The news was broken by Metro Nashville Police Department when they posted security footage of the interaction of their social media:

After the woman made it back to safety, the two hugged before walking away as a group with the production assistant.
The “Livin’ On A Prayer” singer does have training in crisis management as he and his wife started the JBJ Soul Foundation as a way to help those facing crisis.Â
Bon Jovi has declined to make public comment of the event out of respect for the woman’s privacy after her moment of crisis.
