LISTEN: Ira Dean, Formerly of Trick Pony, Joins The Morning Stampede; Performs and Opens Up on Addiction

The Stampede Showcase has brought incredible talents to The Morning Stampede, and not that Ira Dean has graced 95.3 The Bull; the bar is raised ever higher!

Ira is formerly of the trio Trick Pony and has been writing hits in Nashville for over 20 years.  Having been out of the spotlight for the last few years, Ira is ready to step back into the circle and has released his first single since 2015 ” Missin’ How It Used to Be”. The song is a dedication for his late mother and he played it live for Steve and Ryan on Tuesday.

What was maybe more impressive than Ira’s new song, was his willingness to open up about his battles with addiction.

A sit-down with the late Charlie Daniels was a turning point for him in his battle with what he calls “chemicals”. Ira told that story with Steve and Ryan and then performed an #1 song from Aaron Lewis that he wrote.

Ira Deans new album drops in late August/early September, and his single “Missin’ How It Used to Be” is out everywhere now!
