For those of you who live in Machesney Park, you won’t have to travel to Rockford to recycle anymore. On Thursday, September 3rd of 2020, Keeping Northern Illinois Beautiful held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for its Machesney Park Recycling Center which is located 8409 N. Second Street.

From appliances to clothing to electronics that are many items that can be recycled as this facility will operate the way as the location in Rockford on 4665 Hydraulic Road.

The Machesney Park Recycling Center is now open from 2 pm until 5 pm on Wednesdays and from 9 am until noon on Saturdays.
