Morgan Wallen Facing Real Jail Time for Chair-Throwing Incident

A report from Life & Style Magazine says that Morgan Wallen is preparing to spend some time in the slammer.  Allegedly, the information made it’s way to the publication from a member of Wallen’s personal team.

The actual report says that Morgan is expecting the worst, “It’s looking bleak at this point. He’s likely to spend time behind bars“.

Wallen’s legal team was hopeful to build a plea deal that would result in a virtual slap of the wrist, but that doesn’t look like the likely outcome at this point. In fact, if he is convicted in his 3 felony assault with a deadly weapon/reckless endangerment counts he could face as much as 6 years in prison.

Wallen faces the 3 felony counts after throwing a chair over the railing of Eric Church’s Nashville Bar “Chief’s” in April of this year. The chair landed within 3 feet of 2 police officers who were on duty that night.

For now, Morgan’s best-case scenario, “is a 30- to 60-day sentence.” That’s if the charges are lowered to misdemeanor offenses.

Here’s Steve and Ryan talking about the incident on The Morning Stampede:

Morgan did have his court date moved from August 15th to December 12th so he could complete his One Night At A Time Tour, but if he is convicted of his charges as they stand, traveling overseas in the future will be difficult.
