There’s no doubt about it, there are going to be a lot of changes made this year. In the Springfield School District, there are roughly 14,000 students. The district is now implementing a dress code policy that won’t just be for students who are returning to in-person instruction but remote learning, as well.

Springfield Public Schools say students will not be allowed to wear pajamas or slippers while on camera for remote learning this year. They also say preferably, students should be at a desk or table, sitting up and not laying in bed.

The district also says that students should approach remote learning with the same mindset as they would if they were attending in-person classes. But some parents are saying the district does not have the right to say how children should dress in their own homes.
