LOVES PARK — State Rep. Joe Sosnowski will give his take on the state of Illinois on Wednesday during the Parks Chamber of Commerce’s ongoing legislative series.

Sosnowski, a Republican whose 69th House District includes parts of Winnebago and Boone counties, will be the second of five state lawmakers delivering “state of the state” speeches in the series. State Rep. Maurice West, a Rockford Democrat, spoke last month.

Sosnowski has served in the Illinois General Assembly since 2011. He was previously elected twice to serve as 1st Ward alderman for the city of Rockford before running for the state House. He also served as director of institutional advancement at Rockford Christian Schools until 2020.

The event goes from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday at Forest Hills Country Club, 5135 Forest Hills Road. Tickets cost $30 for Parks Chamber members or $40 for non-members. You can register here.
