Uproar Online: Beyonce Fans Are LIVID with Her CMA Nomination Snub
Controversy in the country music world today is focused on the CMAs and their nominations for their November 20th show. The most noticeable snub for many was zero nominations for music royalty, Beyonce.
Queen B released her “Cowboy Carter” album, which was her first foray into country music, on March 29th of this year; but her debut country single “Texas Hold ‘Em” came out on February 11th. Both releases are well within the time period for eligibility at the 2024 CMAs.
The outcry on social media calls for the inclusion of all country music contributors:

Beyoncé INSTEAD soundtracked USA Gymnastics at the Olympics. She ushered in a new gen of Black country artists into the mainstream, including Shaboozey who has been atop the B100 for 8 wks & counting. Only after having a #1 country hit herself. The CMAs are low hanging fruit.

I am disappointed, to say the least, that @Beyonce didn’t receive a @CountryMusic CMA nomination. The album is one of the best of all genres this year and is a work on a level that few contemporary albums reach. This is Nashville’s and country music’s loss.

CMA New Artist of the Year nominee, Shaboozey, even took to X to show his appreciation for Beyonce’s work:
That goes without saying. Thank you @Beyonce for opening a door for us, starting a conversation, and giving us one of the most innovative country albums of all time!

We do not know Beyonce’s feelings on the situation yet as she has not made public comment. So, for now, her “Bee Hive” are the ones speaking loudest for the Queen.
