WATCH: The Morning Stampede Sends Local Boy to See His Idol, Jelly Roll

Any good country music station hangs their hat on the ability to hook fans up with access to concerts of their favorite artists, and that’s no different with The Stateline’s Country. It’s one of our favorite things to do, honestly.

Recently, Jelly Roll fans flocked to the internet to snag tickets for his up-coming “Beautifully Broken Tour” that kicks off later this year, and tickets are hard to come by – and expensive for some fans!

When Steve Summers and Ryan Sartori of The Morning Stampede got a message from a tenacious grandma in Louisiana they new they had to help. Kathy Graves was a Rockford native for years before moving back to the Pelican State, but her grandson, Jaxtyn, goes to school in Roscoe.

When he was just a year old, Jaxtyn was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy and has been in multiple different kinds of therapy since.

It’s hard for a child to feel different from their peers in any capacity, but since discovering the raw and real nature of his new favorite artist he’s learned it’s okay to be different. That artist is reigning CMA New Male Artist, Jelly Roll.

So on Monday’s show, Steve and Ryan tracked down Jaxtyn and his mom, Nichole, and shared some pretty cool news.
