ROCKFORD — A bargain shopping business is set to take over the former Bed Bath & Beyond space at the Forest Plaza shopping center.
Treasure Hunt Deals announced last week that it will make the short move from its home at 6325 E. State St. to expand into the larger Bed Bath & Beyond property at 6309 E. State St., just south of its current location.
The bargain bin store will continue to operate in its current location until Wednesday, July 26. Then, it will open in the new space on Friday, July 28, the company said on Facebook.

Treasure Hunt Deals has more than 150 bins filled with electronics, home decor, toys, clothing and other merchandise. Bin stores such as Treasure Hunt bin stores buy overstock, liquidation and unused returns by the truckload and sell them at large discounts. The prices drop each day, going from $8 on Friday down to $1 on Wednesday, until a new shipment comes in.
Bed Bath & Beyond filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in April and began closing all its stores, including the one in Rockford.
