317 Art Collective is thrilled to announce a rare exhibition and Rockford debut of a true Renaissance Man, Jovan Mihailović. 317 Art Collective is hosting a one-of-a-kind exhibit of paintings, music and conversation!

Hailing originally from Belgrade, Jovan Mihailović embodies the definition of a polymath. His works include more than 20 plays, 8 novels, hundreds of paintings , drawings and re-crafted violins. He is a maestro violinist, who has been performing for decades in Chicago and worldwide.

A classic outsider artist, Jovan developed his own styles devoid of formal art education. His life was the subject of a 2007 documentary, Renaissance Man, and his music has been featured by The Chicago Folklore Ensemble.
The Rockford Art Community is excited to welcome Jovan, not only at this fantastic event, but as a new permanent resident of Rockford!

Attendees of “The Alchemy of Art” will have the opportunity to meet Jovan in person, view and purchase his work at special opening night only rates, and hear the Maestro play live with Sam Hyson and other members of The Chicago Folklore Ensemble.
