In early August, Midway Village Museum announced it will not present the annual World War II Days military re-enactment which was scheduled for the third weekend in September due to COVID-19 safety concerns.

The annual special event is known as the largest of its kind in the Midwest with typically more than 1,000 re-enactors portraying Axis and Allied forces as well as civilians during the 1940s.

The new digital experience is in the planning stages with additional announcements detailing topics and how to view the presentations available in early September.
