There are always tons of small businesses to shop from at the Rockford City Market on Friday nights. Most recently, one local small business was able to raise hundreds of dollars and donate back to our community.

Lexis Lutes, owner of Inspired Life 815, a clothing brand that supports mental health & spreads positivity, teams up with a new local nonprofit every two weeks at City Market. The proceeds that she makes from her sales go back to those in the Stateline who have a similar mission as she does.

“no words can describe the happiness in my heart right now. without your generosity, love, & support this wouldn’t of been possible. together we can end the stigma.” Lexis Lutes said on her Instagram.

On Tuesday, June 29th, she was able to donate to not one but THREE local nonprofits right here in the Rockford area:

The Tommy Corral Memorial Foundation (TCMF), which purpose is to provide supportive services in our community for those living with mental illness and/or been affected by suicide.

Marshmallows Hope, which focuses on the youth in our community who are living with post-traumatic stress disorder, depression, anxiety, thoughts of suicide, self-harm, and who are victims of abuse.

The Liam Foundation, the first LGBTQIA+ Resource Center right here in Rockford that provides services for those in the LGBTQIA+ community.

You can check out Lutes’ shop, Inspired Life 815, at Rockford City Market on Friday’s from 3:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. or visit her shop online.
