Any eye doctor will tell you that sitting in front of any screen for long periods of time is bad for your eyes. Now, working from home, many of us are getting more of that damaging blue-light than ever. Thanks to SWNS.com, here are some tips to protect your peepers.

  • Sit near a window. The more natural light the better.
  • Take regular screen breaks. Every 20 minutes or so, look at something far away for a few seconds.
  • Eye drops. It’s okay to use them, but make sure you read the label and don’t make a habit out of it, especially if they are prescription.
  • Have a desk lamp ready. Seems like common sense, but poor light can really cause eyeball fatigue. Not only that but headaches, irritability, and stalled productivity. Switch it on.
  • Distance. Remember when your mom said not to sit too close to the TV or you’ll damage your eyes. She was kinda right. Try to stay at least two feet away from your screen

Follow these tips and your eyes will thank you.
